Menstrual Cycle Coaching & Facilitation Professional Training with Lisa de Jong
Starts October 2024
Are you a coach, educator, facilitator, trainer, therapist, healer, or care provider and working in a support capacity with women, girls, or people with menstrual cycles? Perhaps you work with people who experience pain, mental health challenges or burnout every month and are looking for new ways to understand their problems and support them?
Do you find yourself curious about the interconnectedness of your clients' bodies, their cycle experience, the endocrine system, and the nervous system? Or, you may have already come across menstrual cycle awareness, read books, taken a course, etc. and are now ready to integrate this into your work. If so, this course is for you!
This course is designed to develop your skills and expertise in menstrual cycle awareness, hormonal and nervous wellbeing, and coaching and facilitation in these areas thus helping you to deepen into a more inclusive and informed career or professional practice for your clients and students.
We help you help your clients find ease in their body and peace with their menstrual cycle.
And we help you find clarity and joy in the coaching and facilitation process.
An Invitation:
Menstrual cycle wellbeing education is no longer a nice thing to have. It is a must for all educators and care providers who are working in holistic client and student-centred roles. For so long, women, girls and people with menstrual cycles have been misinformed, misdiagnosed, dismissed and not taken seriously by care providers. But thankfully, this no longer needs to be the case. We as care providers now have access to excellent education and support to help us upskill in this misunderstood yet vital area of women's health.
The menstrual cycle, the endocrine system, the nervous system, a woman's psychology, and overall wellbeing are all hugely interconnected. Periods are not just an extra 'thing' over there in the corner, a separate conversation. The cycle as a whole is a window into physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Let's begin to include this knowledge and education into our work for all our clients and students with menstrual cycles.
And, when we begin to develop and deepen into a more informed and inclusive role in this area, guess what? Our clients and students get better results! They learn quicker, they feel better more easily and most importantly, they feel heard. This is a huge win for them and for you as a professional!
With all that said, you are invited to join me on a 6-month journey of menstrual cycle wellbeing education and facilitation. I'd be delighted for you to join me!
"Lisa is a fantastic facilitator who is so passionate and knowledgeable about all that she shares. I would highly recommend working with Lisa if you can."

This course will be broken down into three distinct areas across the 6 months:
1. Content & Education: The first two months will focus on the education required to deliver this work and integrate it into your practice, covering in-depth the various topics of this field.
2. Process & Engaging with Clients: The middle two months will focus on how to bring this education into your work, to your clients/students and into your professional practice. We explore how to identify issues your clients don't see themselves, their needs and how to empower them in the process.

"Lisa's course was completely transformational for me. It not only deepened my understanding of aspects of myself like my cycle and my nervous system (what a gift!), but it also transformed my understanding of what it means to be a coach. I feel much more grounded in ethical business, trauma-informed process work, and body-based wisdom. I think everyone who wants to coach others in this field should have this kind of foundation! I highly recommend Lisa's course to anyone who is looking for a one-of-a-kind nervous system approach to menstrual cycle coaching and facilitation."

"I really loved this course. As a professional training, it's a really helpful and nourishing add on for anyone working in the heath and wellness space. We covered so much in terms of the menstrual cycle, the nervous system, trauma and hormones but some of the biggest and more in depth learnings for me were around the relational pieces of working with clients, group and one to one dynamics, the role of power and all the systems that we live with. Lisa's facilitation style provides a really empowering but nurturing space where you are always reminded to check in with your body and emotions. It was really wonderful."

"Lisa is an empathetic and intuitive coach and teacher. She has the ability to draw out what is really in the room, or how a student / client is actually feeling. She is strong and passionate in her beliefs and I feel honoured to have her as a mentor. She is able to hear, accept and make changes from feedback - it's a very special way to hold space.
Lisa's course has helped me take steps in my MC coaching business that I didn't feel capable of taking before. The practical application of working with the nervous system was just what I needed to start making moves and avoid the recurring patter of dropping into freeze mode."

She is training cohorts of thought-leaders and I am proud to say that I am now one of them!"

"I would recommend it with my eyes closed. This training is the living proof that another way to teach and learn can be possible in the world. It has helped me to learn how to approach studies and information intake in a completely new way, safely and fully connected with my body, when I always would disassociate and freeze. Lisa hold the spaces with so much care for every single person in the room and with outstanding integrity. She has created a way to relate to the theory content and our classmates in a very organic and easy way."
~ Elidia, Ireland

"This was a uniquely educational and community orientated course in which Lisa encouraged us to consider our own experiences and practices alongside expert knowledge of the menstrual cycle and its impacts on our day to day as women. Creating a fantastically supportive, educational and thought provoking space, Lisa also created a fantastic community, I've met some incredible women who I am proud to continue working with in the future."

Lisa embodies her practice with integrity and when you experience her teaching, you know that she has the lived experience and works with what is showing up in the moment within the group. It shows in the strong way she intuitively holds the space with empathy and grace. I
feel incredibly lucky to have connected to Lisa as a human and a coach and wholeheartedly trusted her to hold me in this process work."

"I would certainly recommend Lisa's Cycle Coaching & Facilitation Training, it's been the most nurturing learning environment which has awoken my curiosity and desire for learning once again.
One of my fears when starting the course was to be overwhelmed with more information that further exasperated this disconnection from myself or made me feel like there was more things wrong with me. I've taken many wrong turns on my path but this definitely wasn't one of them.
Lisa held the group so safely and professionally throughout, she brings an abundance of knowledge and wisdom to the space and delivers it in a way that is engaging, thought provoking and integrative. She weaves her modalities together effortlessly and can explain things in a such a way that makes her knowledge easy to understand and lands in a way that imprints the first layer of embodiment.
I've completed the course feeling confident to share this work and am well on the way to creating my own 1:1 Cycle Coaching Program. Thank you Lisa for helping me to dismantle some of the conditioning that had me so disconnected from myself and my cycle. Look out world. ❤️ Love Rachel"

This professional training extends a warm and open welcome to all women, to all people who identify as such, and to all people with cycles of all ages, backgrounds, races, religions, sexual orientations, and other minority groups. Many minds and bodies make a world!
Integrating inclusive values into the wellness, coaching, and therapy world has never been more important, and I commit to being a part of this work.
I hereby acknowledge the existence of internalised systems of oppression within the coaching and women's health spaces. I hold this acknowledgment with deep compassion, and with an eagerness to continue to learn from each other and grow together.
Some of the ways I commit to this are by attending regular professional supervision with a coach who specialises in this field. This supports the integrity of my practice. I am also a member of the Feminist Coach Academy, an academy engaged in teaching the social justice lens and anti-oppressive practice. Lastly, it is also in our ethos to give back to certain communities where we can every year, and we aim to create opportunities for these communities in a variety of ways across our services.
How can I get more details?
Click this link to download the course Information Booklet with more information with full curriculum.
Who is this training for?
This training is for coaches, therapists, teachers, educators, facilitators, practitioners, fitness instructors, body workers, healers, doctors, social workers, care providers and anyone who works in some capacity with girls, women and people who menstruate. This course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to begin your own cycle coaching practice or to integrate this work into your already existing work.
What level do I need to be at with my knowledge and experience?
Lisa works with diverse groups so no previous experience is required. Some people come in with other trainings, qualifications, and experience. While other people don't or they might just have personal lived experience. All is welcome because having a diverse group makes for a very rich learning environment where we can all learn from each other's perspectives even if you are a complete beginner! Everyone is welcome!
This training is not for you if:
Anyone who might be in a mentally or emotionally very vulnerable place. For anyone not willing to engage in the process work side of this course. People looking to only offer certainty to clients with menstrual problems. If you are looking to offer quick fixes to people. Anyone looking to coach from a "power over" dynamic and be in a guru position over others with individuals or groups. People who are expecting a perfect and flawless facilitator. If you are unwilling to feel discomfort as a coach coaching people. Anyone who is looking to take from a "me" position only and not contribute to the "we" group collective. People not willing to be patient and listen to other participants when sharing in the group.
What prerequisites are there?
There are no formal prerequisites but it helps a lot if you are already familiar with Menstrual Cycle Awareness, have taken a course, or read a book about the menstrual cycle and cycle awareness.
Is this course accredited?
Yes! This course is approved and accredited through the International Practitioners Of Holistic Medicine. It has gone through a quality assurance screening process and meets international standards and ethics. You will receive a certificate with the IPHM stamp of approval along with 60 CPD points.
What's the difference between this training and the Self-Care & the Menstrual Cycle Course?
The Self-Care course is for people for themselves. Whereas this training is designed for professionals. Although the content seems similar, we go much deeper in this professional training in terms of the educational content to ensure you have the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver this work in a professional capacity. The process work also goes deeper in this training course.
I work with menopausal people? Can I still take this course?
Absolutely! This course will not focus on the menopause journey but we will certainly touch on how to support people on that path. Plus all the knowledge you will acquire on the body will apply for your menopausal clients. The invitation is for you to bring your own knowledge to contribute to the group learning space also.
Who can attend / Can men attend?
This course is open to women, people who identify as female, non-binary people - all whether you have/had a menstrual cycle or not, and trans men with a cycle. We will be delving into process work of cyclical living in order to root into our own lived experience of this work. If you are a cis man and interested in upskilling in this area, I will be launching an educational-only course in the coming years. Contact me here to express your interest in that.
What is in the application form?
The application form has some queries on your experience so far, your reasons for taking this training and your intentions. Lisa will review your application and respond within 7 days along with confirmation details.
How will taking this course benefit me and my work?
This professional training will equip you with the knowledge and skills required to become a cycle coach or to integrate this work in a deep and informed way into your current role or practice. This will hugely benefit your clients and students and will no doubt offer you returns on investment in that regard. Having an inclusive skillset and knowledge base when it comes to women's health is incredibly important. You will walk away feeling much more confident in this line of work and with ideas of how to bring your own creative flair to this work!
How much time do I need to commit?
Outside of the group lectures once a month and study groups once a month, you will only need to dedicate a couple more hours per month for self-study, peer support and reflection.
Do you offer scholarships?
These are currently now closed for the 2023 programme. At Lisa de Jong Coaching, it is in our ethos to give back to communities and create opportunities where we can. We actively work through an anti-oppressive lens and consider economic justice in our business decisions. With that said, scholarships are only made available once an minimum number of spaces have been filled by those who can access our work. This is to ensure the sustainability of our business. If scholarships are available, a very limited number will be offered and are strictly only for individuals who would not access the course otherwise. These spaces are open to members of the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, people living with disability, and people who are socio-economically disadvantaged. We ask that recipients in exchange offer their experience, perspectives, and lenses to the programme to support the development of this work. We kindly request that people who can access this work not apply or enquire for a scholarship as it limits those who are actually in need.
What if I can't make all the live sessions?
It is encouraged that you attend the live sessions if you can. But life happens! If you can't make all the sessions, or, if the sessions are out of your timezone, you are still more than welcome to attend the course and catch up on the replays. You will have access to the online group, me, and your study partner in live format.
The timezone doesn't work for me but I still want to join:
The times of the lectures suit the Americas, Europe and parts of Asia. If the timezone does not suit you e.g. you are in Australia or New Zealand, you are still welcome to join, watch the recording and I will arrange a private monthly integration call with me for you and the other people from there.
This course will not cover:
How to facilitate the Fertility Awareness Method for contraception or conception, medical advice or guidance, in-depth dietetic advice, in-depth menopausal support.
What about refunds?
This course is calling a commitment to the process and group container. This means that difficulties will arise and life always happens too. The group is encouraged to lean into each other and Lisa for support, and there will plenty of support available. This also means that no refunds will be available once the course starts and each accepted participant is required to commit to the full course fee.
Is there a payment plan?
Please note that the course is an 6 month long process. The longer payment plan is 10 months to support anyone needing financial accessibility at no additional cost. There is also a 3 month payment plan option.
